Your therapy business thriving with its quirks

Do you have your own quirks, gestures, and eccentricities that you hide from your therapy clients?

It is your own special traits and uniqueness that make you different from anyone else in your business. In the same way, these differences, strange, unwanted or insignificant as they may seem, can set your business apart from the rest of your industry.

For example, if you like sports and you don’t like ironing clothes, how about wearing sports clothes at work? Perhaps they can be printed with your company name and website address, for example, to make them smarter. If you like to wear starched and ironed clothes, then that is what to wear for your work. If you are a woman and you like to wear high heels, you can find a way to incorporate heels into a professional outfit. Also, if you like to wear flats, sandals, or athletic shoes, you can find a way to incorporate them into an outfit that tells the world something about you. This way, you will feel comfortable in your own clothes.

And the grades? What qualifications do you have that you feel closest to? Photocopy, frame, and post them at your workplace. Choose frames that say something about you. And if you are too eccentric, yes, you can still shine a little in the frame. For example, if you are crazy about frogs, maybe having a large frog frame for each rating is over the top. But having an inconspicuous frog somewhere in the frame is great. You can even incorporate the frog into your logo.

Take photos of events and places that make you feel good. Put them in your workplace. For example, if you like to attend retreats, you might have photos from various retreats you have enjoyed, photos of yourself at the retreats, or photos of yourself and other attendees. You may be pleasantly surprised how this can generate great common ground with your customers that can lead to more leads. For example, I took pictures of happy people in my workshops. When people visited me, if they recognized someone in the photos, they felt that they belonged to that place and were happy for me.

So what are your quirks and unusual qualities? How can you incorporate a little more of yourself into your business? Hope this gave you some ideas on new ways to move forward.
