Microsoft explained the exact cause of the problem. The problem is found to be in the heat sinks. The heat sinks do not cool the surrounding air near the processors and therefore the motherboard does not work and they cannot work for long hours either. Since the components are very compact, external air was not able to flow into the console and cool it down, and the designers did not expect such a high temperature rise inside the console.
SOLUTION
Microsoft suggests that if the cooling system of the consoles is improved, it would solve the error of the three red lights. So many suggested different methods like an additional cooling fan or removing the X-clamps from the heat sinks or even modifying the design of the console itself. But the best way is to remove the X-clamps. Therefore, by removing the X-clamps, air can flow from the external environment through the bottom of the console and can cool the processors from below.
You can repair your console by returning it to the service center or by repairing it yourself. The problem with delivering the console to the Microsoft service center is that you have to pay more than $ 125 if you do not have a valid warranty and you have to wait 4-12 weeks depending on the number of incoming consoles. Also, this is not a permanent solution and you cannot repair modified consoles at any cost at service centers.
