If you are someone who loves to watch a cricket match from time to time, you will realize that the team nowadays rarely loses. The team seems to win, every time!

The delight factor is higher than ever, body language is positive and cricket fan morale is at an all-time high.

Even the toughest opponents no longer present a sustainable challenge. The India team seems to be playing great cricket. Whether it’s batting, rhythm bowling or spin bowling, the team delights in every department. The most amazing thing is that the dream race has lasted a long time!

The Indian team has performed exceptionally well even playing abroad and has exceeded all expectations. This is teamwork at its best and the entire team has performed optimally as a unit. The team could present a formidable challenge to any team in the world!

Let us review the contemporary cricket records of the India team.

We can start with last season where the New Zealand team toured India for 3 tests and 5 ODI matches in September-October 2016′. India had a clean 3-0 sweep in Test matches, with Ravichandran Ashwin’s name in the foreground, who scored 27 wickets for the series.

India won the 5 match ODI series 3-2 with Virat Kohli getting 358 runs in the series.

The English were in India for a lengthy home series from November 2016 to February 2017. The tour involved 5 test matches, 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches.

India’s performance in the test series was once again phenomenal, resulting in a 4-0 win for the hosts in a 5 match series. Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin were once again the best with outstanding 655 runs and 28 wickets respectively.

India was in the mighty West Indies for a one-day 5-match series in June-July 2017, which India won 3-1. Ajinkya Rahane had a phenomenal 336 race tally in the series.

But wait, it only gets better.

India had a clean sweep in 9 matches in Sri Lanka. The team won the Test series 3-0, ODI series 5-0 and T20 series 1-0 in the July-September 2017 season. Virat Kohli made 330 runs in the 5-match ODI series while Jasprit Bhumrah got 15 wickets.

Again, when India played host to the Australian cricket team in the September/October 2017 season, the 5-match ODI series was rounded 4-1 in favor of the hosts. Hardik Pandya was praised for his outstanding performance in all aspects. Pandya made 222 runs at an average of 55.50 with 2 fiftys and earned 6 wickets in the series.

An interesting trivia for the recent performance of the India team. India had 9 consecutive ODI wins in the time interval between July and September 2017. India won 1 match against West Indies, 5 against SL and 3 against Australia in this period.
