How to Write Articles Search Engines Will Love: Finding the Best Keywords to Get More Traffic

It’s always a great feeling when you’ve written an article and submitted it to an article directory. I get excited every time I see one of my articles published. Finding your name among the other authors is almost like seeing your name light up. Seeing your articles on the first page of search engines can also be very exciting because that means more people will see you there too. And the more people who see your article listed, the more likely it is that someone will click through to read your article. But that excitement becomes short-lived as your articles are listed lower and lower in the results.

So how do you write articles that search engines will love? How do you write articles that stay near the top of search engine listings? Do you have any control over how long they stay on the first pages?

The short answer to that is no. But you can give your article a fighting chance if you create them with the search engines in mind. If you can write an article using the words that people search for, then you can attract more readers to your articles. That can translate into more clicks to your website. After all, isn’t that what you want from your articles?

The words that people use to search for the information they need on the Internet are called keywords. They can be one word terms or they can be 2 or more words together. Two or more words together is commonly known as a “long-tail keyword.” It is believed that people who use long tail keywords are more likely to be a more targeted market. Depending on the keywords used, they are considered to be more inclined to buy when they are presented with web pages that are optimized and targeted to their search.

It pays to do your keyword research as part of your article marketing strategy. By using a tool like the Google AdWords Keyword Tool, you can find the words and phrases that people use to search for information in your niche and hopefully they will find your article or website. By finding out which keywords are being used the most, you can optimize your article to get the most viewers.

Once you have decided on the keywords that your target audience uses, you will use them to write your article. It must be unique and in your own style. Your article should flow from start to finish and not sound like it’s made up of keyword terms strung together to rank on search engines. It helps to read the article out loud to see if it sounds natural.
