Corrective Makeup

Corrective or camouflage makeup tends to bring out the best features of a person to make a beautiful woman more beautiful. This type of makeup also minimizes the beauty flaws of a person. Camouflage makeup style creates illusions. Lighting, contouring and shading are the basic techniques to follow. Working like an artist with concealer, foundation, powder, eye color, lip color as tools, she would get compliments from her peers.

Modulate face shapes

There are different face shapes that sometimes need to be modulated to get the desired look.

If someone’s face is round, it should be made to look slender, which can be achieved by applying a darker foundation to the sides of the face. Shading of excess width creates the illusion of extra length.

The color should be carefully selected for a square-shaped face because its sharp edges need to be smoothed out. Shading with ascending strokes of blush towards the temples would reduce the squareness of the bone structure.

Pear-shaped faces have a wide jawline and a narrow forehead. To create width in the forehead and slim the jawline, shading is applied to the sides of the chin, highlighter is applied to the sides of the forehead, and the application of blush makes the cheek look fuller.

Width should be added to the oblong or diamond face, so the tip of the chin should be shaded with lighter colors to reduce the length. Highlighter creates fullness in the face when applied to the sides of the temples, and similarly, blush plumps the cheeks.

The oval face is the perfect shape because you only need to shade and highlight the cheekbones.

The heart-shaped face has a wide forehead and a slim jawline. To widen the jawline and reduce the shading of the forehead, highlight the sides of the forehead and temples and the angle of the jawline.

Do not extend the eyebrows to the corners. The mascara should be thick towards the center of the eye.
