Clothing and Women’s Clothing – Battle of The Closet

Every morning, women wrestle with their closets asking the same question over and over again; “What clothes should I wear today?” Women’s clothing can cause quite a stir among countless women around the world. No one seems to know what to wear when they wake up.

It would be great if we could have a full time maid come in every morning and pick out our clothes for us. Obviously, he would also choose all the accessories that went with it; shoes, hair items, and belts, just to name a few. Then we would have plenty of time for our hearty breakfasts and get to our possible jobs, school or whatever it is we have to do; on time. There would be no clothes scattered all over our bedroom floor. We would leave home dressed and fresh, without having taken yesterday’s clothes out of the laundry; cleaning it profusely as we run.

Unfortunately, this is not, for most of us, a realistic way of life. Instead, most of us need to fight our closets and find some semblance of order in the mornings. This usually involves trying on at least three or four outfits, if not more, and changing accessories.

Women’s clothing has had this power over society for as long as we can remember. It is a cycle that we must break. We need to wake up in the morning, choose an outfit from our wicked closet, put it on, and come out confident with a smile on our face. The problem seems to be in every woman. They have a closet full of clothes, and somehow they don’t have any clothes to wear. How can we achieve our goal? How can we make mornings less stressful? The answer to this question is in your closet.

What you have to do now is check your closet. Take out all your clothes and put them on your bed. Now, you need to classify each item of clothing you own. This is tedious work and should be done on a day when you have plenty of time and zero distractions.

The first step is to give away everything you know you no longer want, and even more so what doesn’t suit you. Let go of any feelings. Forget the outfit you wore on your first date, or at your engagement party. If it doesn’t fit, it doesn’t fit. There are many people in need out there who can greatly benefit from their clothing that is too small. There is definitely no need to think that you are saving money this way. If and when you need clothing one size smaller, you can always shop for new clothes. In the meantime, this is just taking up space in your closet and time in your morning. It’s distracting and gets in the way when you’re looking at your other options.

The next step is to see what you have left. Now that you’ve gotten rid of what’s too small and what you don’t like, there should be a handful of options. Lots of sweaters, a few pairs of pants and skirts, etc. Now you can pick a few that you actually see yourself wearing, and mix and match them to make yourself quite a few different outfits. Then, and only then, can you fill in the blanks; everything you feel is missing. Then you can go out and get yourself some new outfits. You should buy practical things that you can use over and over again. You should buy things that you can use several times in a row, changing them a little each time. You will start to feel a sense of relief when you wake up in the morning, instead of dread.

Getting dressed in the morning doesn’t have to be stressful. It doesn’t have to be a fight with your closet. In fact, if you follow these steps, you can refresh yourself and your wardrobe. Now you have a legitimate excuse to go clothes shopping. Once you’re ready to take out the old and bring in the new, you’ll feel like a new person. You will be able to dress in the morning in a relaxed way; until the clothes start piling up and become too small or boring for you. So, you have to start all over again.
