Virginity – A Unique Virtue

The question of whether there are virgins in our time is simply indefinite. Certainty is low because of the rate at which free love increases. Many people were ignorant and as a result lost their virginity. Others, though faced squarely with its dangers, saw no need to remain virgins until marriage.

The battle is always against some Christians; for them it is a temptation. Many times those Christians lose their virginity because they obeyed Biblical principles. In the days of old, not only in God’s land (Israel) but everywhere, a girl or lady who did not find a virgin was banished or executed.

“But if this be true, and the mark of virginity is not found for the maiden, then they will bring her out to the gate of her father’s house, and the men of her city will stone her with stones and she will die, because she has done foolishness in Israel fornicating in his father’s house…” Deuteronomy 22:20-21

What do we see in our time? Many ladies and young men, who have now come to know the so-called modern principles of life, freely give away their virginity without the slightest consideration. It is obvious since the groom and the bride are now at the command of our time. Any lady needs great self-denial through the words of God to resist today’s order. Although virginity has been trampled on by some ignorant unbelievers, it is a topic to be discussed among young Christians so that they can serve God without a guilty conscience. Virginity must be reviewed, discussed and educated to the youth so that social canker and sexual promiscuity can be stopped and reduced to a minimum. It is very surprising that only a few youth camps can boast of debating virginity issues.

Preachers and ministers do not tell young people in their churches about the need to remain virgins until marriage and its significance, both spiritual and physical.

Virginity is in fact a complete virtue that every woman can set as a goal of achievement and honor. Introducing yourself to her husband as her first touch is appreciative and certainly honorable. Ask many men “would you like to marry a virgin?” The most common answer is ‘who doesn’t like a snail’, which means that she wants to marry virgins. Society’s belief that being a virgin shows how faithful and truthful you are. Sometimes they honor such people and even accept them as the true vine of society. Is there any need for you to marry a virgin? OUI well south. If you are a child of God, it is one of your Christian standards to be true to yourself, to God, and to your husband.
