1. In stage 1, let all the enemy insects (bees and butterflies) fly and gather in the air without firing a single shot. You can place your spaceship in the center of the screen as the bugs will not drop any bombs or crash into your ship.
2. Once all the enemy bugs are out, take note of the two bugs on the far left of the first and second rows (in this case they are bees and they are blue).
3. Bugs will fly down trying to crash into your ship or drop bombs. You can shoot all other insects except the two bees mentioned in step 2.
4. Once you’ve shot the rest of the bugs, strategically place your ship in the left corner of the screen. Take note of the time.
5. The two bees will continue to exit and return to the screen. Let this process continue for about 10 minutes. During the 10 minute wait, you have to be vigilant and not let any bombs hit your ship. A bomb can come out from the left side of the screen that doesn’t belong to the two bees. Once you get hit, you have to wait another 10 minutes, which can be frustrating.
6. After about 10 minutes, you will notice that the two bees will stop dropping their bombs. Let them fly three more times out and towards the screen to confirm that they have indeed dropped all of their bombs.
7. Once you are sure that the two bees do not drop any more bombs, you can shoot them down and proceed to stage 2.
8. From stage 2 onwards, all insects will not drop any bombs. This will allow you to play the game for as long as you can, as long as you don’t let the bugs crash into your ship. From experience, I managed to play on stage 200 for many hours until the arcade screen went blurry. This helped me save a lot of money. Previously, if I didn’t apply this strategy, my game would have ended at stage 25 at most.
9. Take advantage of this technique by allowing your ship to be captured. Once you get the ship back, you will have two ships next to each other.
