Golf destination in Cyprus with year-round golf climate

When I first came to Cyprus, there were hardly any golf courses there and due to the scarcity of water on the island, maintaining a golf course seemed like a far fetched idea. In recent years, however, they seem to be popping up more and more, making Cyprus and Paphos a very special golf destination. The main city for golf holidays is Paphos.

Paphos is one of the best destinations in Cyprus, the reason for this is the combination of tourism, relaxation, cuisine, beaches and of course sports like golf and green bowls in a city that is neither small nor big. Just perfect for a two week vacation.

Paphos has four courses at the moment with a fifth in planning. Here is a list with information about each golf course.

The weather in Cyprus makes golf almost a year-round sport, although it is advisable to book tees very early during August and September as it is too hot to play between 12:00 and 17:00.

Getting to the golf course will require a taxi, getting to the golf club can cost between 15 and 30 euros depending on your location and the golf course you wish to visit.
