Don’t give your past the power to define your future

You cannot change the past. If you have made good decisions and grew as a person, you are very lucky. But not all people feel the same. Many of them wake up every morning wishing they could find a way to change the past.

It is astonishing that countless people around the world, regardless of how unique we may appear to be from the beginning, are handling a similar problem that the vast majority of us do – we regret and persevere in the past. This leads to an absence of joy and the powerlessness to carry on through everyday life.

Despite the fact that joy is anything but a long-term goal, but rather a goal that we plan to achieve over and over again, it is essential to remain content throughout everyday life. It is essential to be confident in your skin, satisfied with your identity, and who you plan to become in the future.

However, many people are distressed by their past, as something that influences both their present and their future. It is entirely reasonable that we are influenced by it, considering that our present self is the result of the totality of our past choices.

In any case, does this really need to direct our future as well?

What you are today is the result of your past choices, positive or negative. Sometimes the terrible ones outnumber the great ones, and we end up regretting the things we’ve done, wishing we could go back and fix everything. However, that is absurd and probably will not be in reality.

What you can accomplish for yourself and others is to renounce the past, stop agonizing over the future so much, and highlight your current choices.

Our lives depend on the current second, while our future and our past are non-existent ideas that we should not pay as much attention to. In reality, most of your efforts should be focused on the present, and by doing this, you will have the option of building a higher life for yourself.

I urge each individual who is struggling with their past to learn and release things. I urge you to forgive yourself and take responsibility for your activities. As long as you have done this, you are ready to develop. Also, to do that, you need to start right away. In any case, saying this will not improve anything. You need to have some kind of direction on your journey into development.

Regardless of what you do, there is no one approach to changing what you just said and did. You can consider the big picture as much as you need to, but that won’t present you with any results.

In the event that you could do it one more time, what could you change now? Actually, some things should be possible once again. You simply need to take the fortress and do what you think is right this time. For the things that basically can’t let go of your past and can’t be fixed, I encourage you to acknowledge them and make an honest effort to excuse yourself.

As much as you cannot change the past, you can allow it to transform you. Take everything that happened to you and everything that is happening right now as an exercise and start developing it. Every second is an individual exercise, which no one but you can learn. After some time, the considerations about the past will not inconvenience you in the present and you will feel exactly that it is very acceptable to implement an improvement in your daily routine and to experience it in the most satisfying way possible.

Excuse others for violating you and forgive yourself for violating others and yourself, you will feel free. It will be a troublesome excursion, yet it is much simpler than passing on a colossal measure of disappointment every day for the rest of your life.
