Recently rehabilitated, Bob wants to get out of the crime game. However, a series of unfortunate events attracts the attention of some shady characters who are eager to put Bob’s legendary abilities to use. Bob robbery is a stealth puzzle game where the goal is to steal a specific item and get out of the building … preferably undetected.
You move Bob with a virtual joystick, I’m not normally a fan of this style of control, but it’s not that bad here, mainly I think because the movement is slow and deliberate. Bob’s default movement speed is sneaky, which was frustrating in the early levels, but a huge help when levels start to fill up. Bob can run by holding down a virtual button on the right of the screen, this gives Bob a more pleasant pace, but nearby people will be alerted to the excess noise this produces. You steal items automatically when you approach them and you will have to stay off the site, you do not need to go unnoticed, but if someone catches you, you are done. For perfectionists, you can also try to get the prizes for each stage, one for not being caught, one for finishing the job in the allotted time, and another for stealing everything in the building.
Each area has 15 levels and with 4 areas, there is a lot to do. Each area comes with its own story that begins with a comic-style storyboard, and each level has a fun dialogue between Bob and his protagonists. The comic nature of the story suits the visual style, the graphics are really good, and the level design is well planned. Targets, hazards and obstacles are clear and labeled and the sound is well put together, the music adds a touch Pink Panther feel.
As he progresses through the levels, Bob will meet more people, security guards, cameras, watchdogs and the levels will get more and more complex. With your share of the loot, you can upgrade Bob’s skills and buy items to facilitate progress, IAP can be used for these as well. This title is pretty good to play on the go, but to get a good idea, you’ll probably want a decent session to get started. Also, the stability of the application is very good, I have not had a single crash yet.
Bob robbery It’s quite an entertaining game, although Bob’s slow movement can be frustrating at first. The levels are well planned and challenging, especially if you want to try all the prizes. This is a good title for puzzle game fans looking for something a little different, 4 stars.
