Politics reward

“Who will raise this baby?”

Everybody whispers. The older man at the meeting, finally breaking the silence, points to a middle-aged man, half white bearded and asks him showing a lot of boredom on his face and at the same time with a rather suspicious look about the identity of his parents.

A whole serenity and silence are rapidly growing among the crowd after the old man’s question.

Everyone, regardless of men and women, young and old, remains silent. They look at each other out of curiosity.

Suddenly, the miserable mute, almost twenty-two years old, Bidogdho appears in the middle of the meeting.

She cannot speak since she was born. Her parents always watch over her. They remain concerned not only about her physical disabilities, but also about her impeccable beauty. The wicked local boys often try to seduce her; But I can’t dare to go on They only fear for the eldest son, Pothbhrosto, of influential local politician Batpari Mohajon.

Pothbhrosto has warned all the evil children who threaten them that if someone tries to enter into an unfair relationship with Bidogdho, they will be beaten and expelled from the town. Hence, no one dares to harm him.

Pothbhrosto has come up with an evil plan to sexually abuse Bidogdho long before. He is the son of an economically wealthy and politically powerful family. His father Batpari Mohajon controls the politics of this town. This whole town is obliged to show him respect. No one possesses the courage to challenge or defy you.

Pothbhrosto knows very well that Bidogdho’s mother, Nirupai Banu, works as a servant in her house. He comes home early in the morning, works hard for hours, and leaves in the late afternoon. Sometimes she gets something to eat from home; otherwise, you starve all day. Bidogdho stays home and eagerly awaits his mother’s return.

Pothbhrosto has a hidden desire to enjoy it for a long period of time. Today she feels like she is losing control over her. He can no longer tolerate that he still cannot establish a sexual relationship with Bidogdho.

One morning, Nirupai Banu suddenly fell ill. Faints and loses consciousness several times. At present, your health is not strong enough to keep up the hard work. But she has no alternative without working like a machine. His health is deteriorating.

Hearing this from a small Choton of his neighbors, Pothbhrosto, accompanied by his two friends, rushes to the hapless maiden’s house and manages to send her to the local hospital. Bidogdho is now home alone. He cries a lot for his mother.

Her mother Nirupai Banu is the only person on this earth who cares for her. His father, Amulla Sarkar, has renounced the ghost a decade earlier. He has no other brother or sister. Your miseries could end here; target no. His paternal uncles Khadok Shanda and Petuk Panda and their children have forced Nirupai Banu and Bidogdho to leave their home and property. They have been driven out and taken over their home and land.

So they take refuge here like a slum dweller in these tiny, ramshackle, government-assigned houses, shaded by tin. His house is almost half a kilometer from Pothbhrosto’s house.

Pothbhrosto arrives and quickly enters Bidogdho’s room. Finding her alone crying in the room, close the door as quickly as possible. Seeing him close the door, he tries to produce his usual sound expressing knowing what he wants to get out of it. Stopped by him, she is stopped by the greatest fear and panic. Pothbhrosto is overly excited; is trembling; now he cannot breathe normally; rather, you are supposed to breathe deeply!

Now he’s not ready to waste a bit of time satisfying his lust by raping this helpless but fully blossomed virgin. Bidogdho tries to open the door in order to escape from this lewd satan. But fortune is not at all ready to smile at him.

“Lie down on the bed”, Pothbhrosto tries to make her understand through gestures, but she strongly disagrees with answering him. Shake your head in denial.

Pothbhrosto quickly takes off his clothes and looks out in an extremely thoughtful mood through the broken window to see if anyone is present there. Their evil spirits leap with ecstatic joy at not finding any person present there.

Bidogdho growls softly on the bed as his mouth is kept close to a strong cloth. Pothbhrosto, after raping her for about half an hour, believes himself to be one of the most influential conquerors in this world. You are about to leave the place safe and sound. But oh! That little boy appears there through the broken window.

“Out, you scoundrel,” Pothbhrosto becomes extremely angry with him.

“I’m not leaving until I know why she’s bleeding and crying in bed.”

Telling him this, Choton quickly flees home. He tells his parents what he has seen there.

Pothbhrosto quickly leaves the place and goes directly to the local bazaar “Kheyaghat” where he will meet his friends and seek their help if necessary.

Choton’s parents run towards Bidogdho’s house. They are screaming madly, censuring Pothbhrosto for his devilish misdeeds and trying to comfort her. Soon some people have gathered at the place; but nobody dares to inform the police.

The next day, Nirupai Banu returns home from the hospital, faints over and over again to find his unfortunate daughter, slaps his forehead as if it were better if the forehead no longer existed. People are trying to pacify her, but all their efforts are rendered useless.

Meanwhile, asked by a stranger, the police have turned up there. Bidogdho is taken to the hospital to complete his medical examination and present a rape case against Pothbhrosto.

On the other hand, Batpari Mohajon tries to handle the police by offering a large amount of bribes. But their efforts end in smoke, as the officer in charge of the police has a fair and uncompromising personality on corruption and theft.

The always smiling face of the officer in charge has reddened violently, he is trembling a little at the thought of the misfortunes of this anguished raped girl. He tells Batpari Mohajon bluntly,

“Your son has made a mistake; he must be put in the hands of the law, he can never expect mercy from me.”

Batpari Mohajon returns home in a brooding and pensive mood. He is completely in a bind of what to do; how he will save the life of his evil son. You will be hanged if proven guilty in court. Mohajon cannot even eat and sleep properly; he fell ill and his health deteriorated.

Five months pass. On the other hand, Bidogdho becomes pregnant; Mohajon has done his best to convince Nirupai Banu to compromise on the issue. He has offered her a large amount of money, repeatedly asks her to have an abortion. But your effort does not see the light of success. Pondering all these uncomfortable questions, mohajon is about to die.

Batpari Mohajon finds no other way and now looks at the next elections. If the current regime changes through elections, his supporting party will take office. He hopes that the administration will handle the release of his son anyway. The newly elected government comes to power after elections are held six months later.

Meanwhile, Bidogdho gives birth to a sweet baby; He names him Bidrohi (rebel) in the hope that one day this little Bidrohi will grow old and take revenge for the oppressions that have been imposed on him.

Batpari’s hopes and efforts are ultimately fulfilled and he feels as relaxed as a poor debt-ridden landless farmer feels after being discharged from his debt. Your party does a lot to save your son’s life. The Interior Ministry issues an order to the local police station to discharge the case of Pothbhrosto, so to speak, which had been brought against him for political repression.

The rape case against Pothbhrosto has been dumped!

Pothbhrosto returns home from an unknown location almost after a year. Many people have gathered in the courtyard of his house. Some boys have been waiting for him since this morning with a bouquet of flowers in hand. They are excited to have it and promptly have Pothbhrosto wear the garland!

Pothbhrosto smiles as if he is as great a conqueror as Alexander the great was!

His parents cry silently, putting their kisses mixed with affection on his face and forehead repeatedly. Pothbhrosto embraces them and assures them that no one on this earth can harm them. The other men and women watch and think seriously; How powerful they are! How effectively the mighty hands of politics have supported you! They are speechless for a moment thinking about the reward of politics!

Some people have also been present at Nirupai Banu and Bidogdho’s hut. They are not strong enough to protest this sheer injustice; they remain silent; some lose control to prevent their eyes from shedding tears. Their faces are like withered and broken tree leaves in winter. Before leaving the hut, they only utter one sentence of their utter pain and hopelessness; but from his firm belief that one day Allah will punish those guilty.

The end
