Natural cosmetics for skin care: how to recognize good products

When it comes to skincare cosmetics, I guess most people just go to the supermarket or drug store and buy the mostly advertised creams and potions. I can’t blame them, that’s what I used to do too, until I got tired of the poor results I was getting and started researching what ingredients were in these products and what could be the reasons for my disappointment. Read on for my natural skin care tips that I learned (and wish I had known back then!)

Back then, I was surprised to find out that many of these products I was using had ingredients like Vaseline and chemicals. Vaseline, also called mineral oil, is a very unpleasant ingredient in cosmetic skin care products because it can irritate the skin. The same goes for most chemicals, some can even be harmful to your health. But what should a skincare product contain, then? Here are some of the best tips I know:

First things first: look for all natural products. Look for ones without fillers (ingredients that have no function other than to make the product look and feel good without any benefit to the skin), preservatives, or other harmful chemicals. There are many chemicals that can cause health problems; some, like parabens, have even been linked to cancer. It is better not to risk your health for beautiful skin, especially since you can also get beautiful skin with natural products!

Also make sure to stay away from skin care products that use fragrances, especially synthetic ones. In fact, many synthetic fragrances contain many other ingredients, which do not need to be labeled on the product packaging! That means you really have no idea what you’re applying to your skin!

For example, look for these ingredients before you buy any skincare cosmetics: avocado oil, babassu oil, and seaweed, especially Phytessence Wakame. These have been proven by studies to benefit your skin by moisturizing it and increasing its youthfulness. For example, avocado oil is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, D and E, as well as beta-carotene. It is also high in sterolins, which are known to reduce age spots, help heal sun-damaged skin, and fade scars. It is an extremely effective moisturizing and nourishing oil that aids in skin rejuvenation and regeneration, making it especially beneficial for aging skin.

So go for all natural skin care cosmetics. The ingredients that really help your skin in the long run are natural, and if you take care of your skin seriously, you will see good results very soon!
