MacBook Pro – What’s new?

A new member of the Macintosh line of laptops, the MacBook Pro was introduced by Apple Inc in 2006. The three classic MacBook models, the 13-inch, 15-inch, and 17-inch laptops, have undergone several updates since then. The latest refurbished 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook models were released in April 2010 with Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The 13-inch model has some new features.

Whether it’s the 13-inch, 15-inch or 17-inch MacBook Pro, recent developments in all three are worth discussing. The new 13-inch version features a 2.4 GHz dual core processor technology whose speed is unmatched. With its 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, you can run different applications at the same time. The NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics card and 250 GB of storage are the added benefits. The LED backlit display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 is just perfect. Another notable highlight of the new 13-inch MacBook Pro is the longer battery life, which can last up to 10 hours continuously.

The noticeable change in the 15-inch MacBook Pro is its unibody aluminum construction. It has a brilliant resolution of 1440*900 pixels and there is even an option for anti-glare. Corei7 technology enables automatic graphics switching. This portable device has an SD card slot and a long-lasting lithium battery. The unique feature of the keyboard is that its keys have an ambient light sensor that glows when used in the dark. The speakers of this model that are located on both sides of the keyboard produce good quality audio. You can watch a movie, listen to music, and work on a word processor all at the same time.

The most striking feature of the 17-inch MacBook Pro is its large screen. Its other highlight is the better integrated graphics. Your Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT graphics card can be turned on or off to improve its performance and improve battery life. This model has the best screen resolution. The glass trackpad on this MacBook provides a larger surface area. Also, this model has removed the separate mouse button.

While the 13-inch macbook pro is powerful and great value for money, the 15-inch model can also be considered for heavy-duty operations and the 17-inch would definitely be the one for big-screen lovers.
