Cheap hotels in Rome: hotels in Rome are cheaper in August

Although you can find accommodation in Rome for 12, – euros per night, you will have to get along with 12 other people in the same room. Sure you can easily imagine the probability that only one of these fellow travelers is snoring or waking you up as you walk into the room totally drunk at 5 in the morning. From my own experience, there is good reason to believe that this lower level hostel is not to everyone’s liking. You usually start looking for cheap bed and breakfasts or hotels near the city center to avoid noise and gain some privacy.

Having said that sometimes finding an empty room in Rome is taught for that kind of price and on top of that a good, clean b & b with good services or even a cheap hotel, if you start looking early enough, there are certainly options. There are a multitude of websites on the internet that list cheap hotels, pensions, b & bs, apartments and guesthouses, but the sites we recommend have been searching for the best cheap places in “bella Roma” since 2004.

Rome is a place of myth, history, history and Fellini. Rome is a beautiful city where you will have a great time. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but it is possible to get an overview of the city in one go. Rome is indeed a beautiful city worth visiting and most importantly, if you have the right shoes, you can explore almost all the sights on foot. That’s a gigantic advantage over bigger cities like Paris or New York, since the Metro doesn’t run as often either. There are only two metro lines in Rome, A and B. Why? Well, we’ll tell you about it later in one of our next articles. To some extent for now, it has to do with all these monuments on the ground.

Rome is epic, it shows life as it was about 2000 years ago and the fun part is that you don’t even need to go into a museum most of the time, as ancient monuments are scattered all over the city center. Rome is the capital and the political, economic, cultural and traffic centers of Italy.

Rome may not be Naples, but the adjective non-Roman Italians reflexively associate with it is chaotic. As mentioned in many tourist and travel guides, Rome has a reputation for being very expensive when it comes to accommodation. However, the city center has made a great impression on the minds of tourists as a tourist destination and therefore more travelers arrive almost every year. Rome was built to amaze tourists and make them see its ancient past and its ruins. But surely beyond its monuments, Rome is undoubtedly much more than a forum of ruins.

Rome is usually full of sunny days all year round, but it can get very hot in the summer months, July and August. Half the city usually closes at that time, as breathing can easily become a pain in the smoky city center. All the Romans escape to the beach and guess what it really is then, in August and late July, when hotels are so cheap again. So if you’re used to the heat, there’s a great bargain right there in August. Rates can be lowered by 100%. So a 4-star hotel room, for example, can only cost 70 euros instead of 125 euros. Most of the hotel staff members are even more welcoming and friendly at the time, as you may have half the hotel lounge all to yourself.
